Established August of 1995, our vision was to create a family of students that would receive the personal attention and professional training necessary to become confident and well versed performers in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Theater Arts.

The owner and founder of Dance Theatre Project Mrs. Lisa Cicalese and her staff see their dream realized when students perform in an original play at a professional theater. Each performer has an important role to support the story line.

Mrs. Cicalese came from a background of performing in professional Tap, Jazz and Modern Dance Companies. Her credits include: Current Board Member of Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey, active member of Elite Dance Forum and the Algonquin Arts Dance Consortium. She is certified to teach by examination through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance U.S and London Branches, Dance Masters of America, National Dance Council Of America, Pennsylvania Association Of Dance Teachers, Associated Dance Teachers of NJ and U.S.A. Gymnastics. Her teaching experience includes, Former assistant dance administrator at Lee Strasberg Theatrical Institute of NYC and Former Dance Professor at Monmouth University.

Mrs. Cicalese's performance experience includes: Principal dancer and singer of Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, NYC Member of United Dance Theatre Company, Principal in National McDonalds Commercial, Principal Six Flags Great Adventure Commercial, Day player in movies Nuke em High and Hell Fire. Mrs. Cicalese has also recorded the Pop single Hold Me and Radio Jingles for Rosen Decorators.

We are proud to have an all certified staff at DANCE THEATRE PROJECT. We use our professional experiences to give our aspiring performers an insiders view of the professional dance and theater forum. Our professional instruction and positive demeanor, instill confidence, a feeling of excitement, and a love for dance and theater for all students.
